3M Thinsulate:
The best-in-class Thinsulate insulation from 3M°’ is used to keep you snug and warm in cold weather riding conditions. 3MT” Thinsulate features large air pockets to trap heat, allowing the gloves to remain extremely warm for an extended period of time.
Dryterra Tech Membrane:
The specially engineered DryTerra tech waterproof membrane ensures your hands are comfortable and dry in the rains. DryTerra tech membrane offers 100% waterproofing as long as entry point to the gloves is covered properly.
Superfabric:
SuperFabric is world-renowned for its higher abrasion and cut resistance. Tundra’s palm area is reinforced with double-stitched SuperFabric inserts with EVA padding offering high abrasion and impact protection.
Knuckle protector:
TPU protectors are placed over the knuckles to ensure your hands are well protected by absorbing the impact better. An additional memory foam layer is placed under the TPU protector for comfort. They come in 2 sizes to offer better coverage across a wider range of knuckle widths.
Finger Protection:
Tundra comes with foam paddings on the fingers for impact absorption in case of an unfortunate fall.
Touch Sensitive:
An additional layer of leather with a special conductive coating on the index and thumb tips of both hands for easy operation of touchscreen devices.
Supergrip:
Engineered SuperGrip silicone texturized panel at the purlicue (the area between fore-finger and thumb) and on the fingertips of the index and middle fingers which offers superb grip on the bars as well as assists with smooth lever operation even in wet conditions.
Visor Wipe:
Strategically placed soft viper on the left hand of the Tundra helps clean the helmet visor in rainy conditions.
Maximum Coverage:
Tundra offers wide coverage on the side of the hands with the help of an additional layer of leather on the palm and pinky finger, Superfabric on the palm region, and a longer gauntlet. The longer low-profile gauntlet allows you to even wear the jacket over the gloves.
Things to Remember:
Leather:
• The holeshot uses goatskin leather that is durable, light and naturally water resistant. It is the most comfortable leather to use in gloves due to its suppleness.
• We kept the thickness of the leather to the highest level possible (1.2mm to 1.5mm) to ensure enhanced abrasion resistance.
KNOX SPS:
• Scaphoid injuries are the most common hand injury in motorcycle accidents.
• These are caused by the grab effect when the palm of the hand makes contact with the ground.
• We chose the low-profile KNOX SPS 303 for the Holeshot because it is small enough to not interfere during day-to-day use but at the same time offers much-needed protection to the scaphoid area.
• Because it is important, we worked with KNOX to ensure we get a replacement of the SPS absolutely correct – final production samples were physically verified at the Knox headquarters in London for approval before the production run.
TPU Protectors: TPU Protectors are placed over the knuckles on the Holeshot to ensure they are well protected by absorbing the impact much better. An additional foam layer is placed under the TPU protector for comfort.
FINGER Protection: For enhanced protection of fingers without compromising the movement use accordion design for an additional stretch when operating the clutch and brake.
WRIST Closure: To avoid slippage of the gloves during a crash.
Silicone Grip:
• The holeshot has an engineered super grip silicone panel attached at the purlicue ( the area between forefinger and thumb) which offers a much superior grip on the bars.
• Most other gloves have heat transfer branding detail in this area that does not significantly improve grip.
• You can run your finger on the grip panel to check this. Having a grippier palm allows you to hold the bars lightly while ensuring you are able to operate the throttle smoothly.
TOUCH SCREEN Friendly:
• Regular leather does not register properly on touchscreen devices, making it difficult to operate your smartphone and GPS units without removing the glove.
• The Holeshot has special conductive leather panels strategically placed on the index finger and thumb tips of both hands.
• This leather has properties that mimic a conductive path and enable the operation of touch-sensitive electronic devices.
Ventilation: Heavy-duty 3d air mesh and perforated leather used throughout the Holeshot allow maximum airflow – a boon for the Indian climate.
Night Visibility: The Holeshot comes with 3M reflective piping on the finger accordions and back of the hand for added night visibility.
